Ungarelli was the first curator of the Egyptian Museum at the Vatican. This work depicts four-sided views of the eleven Egyptian obelisks taken by the Romans. The schematic engravings of each pillar highlight their decorative hieroglyphs and are keyed to references in the descriptive text volume. Brunet V:1010.
