Clean, unmarked pages. With portrait and 32 hand-colored plates from contemporary sources, by Joseph Grego. Hand colored frontis and plates. Gift inscription on fep, W.B. Davis, US Army, 1892. Acquired in Baltimore from the estate of Charles Bonaparte. Bonaparte was a member of the Roosevelt administration. He served as U.S. Secretary of the Navy and later the U.S. Attorney General.
