[Interesting associated provenance: Allan Wade's copy] Rare original collection of this turn of the century British literary publication. 6 volume set. Bound in publisher's green cloth, with image of a 18th century academian reading a manuscript on front. Solid bindings. Generally clean internally (one of the vols has spotting to the end sheets). Lithographic Cat bookplate of Allan Wade. Wade (1881-1955) was a noted actor, director and literary biographer. Wade had an extensive collections of fugitive pieces from Yeats, James, Conrad, Beerbohm, etc., from anonymous contributions to British periodicals. He was a friend of Yeats and later went on to publish the standard Yeats biography. He was working on the letters of Oscar Wilde when he died.
