Sabin 22257.  A strong anti-slavery argument by the Rev. Dr. Charles Elliott which specifically deals with the  vileness of American slavery. Incidents of separation of slave families by slave traders in Kentucky are detailed.  Elliott was a minister in the Ohio Conference and Pittsburgh Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was editor of the Western Christian Advocate 1852-1856 and twice president of Iowa Wesleyan University.
