Light spotting (mostly to prelims), generally clean. 350 pages. Jefferson Davis, then a United States Senator was president of the commission. The last letter in the report to the commission in response to questions regarding what changes should be made at West Point to obtain the best officers qualified to perform their duties was from then Brevet Colonel Robert E. Lee.
