An extremely informative travel narrative, Grelot's vision of Constantinople is conveyed through text and detailed, hand-colored illustrations. This volume describes local customs and provides a brief history of the area. Grelot, a prolific French artist and traveller, dedicated this particular volume to Louis XIV of France.
