(4), 196 p. {267 plates (numbered 260), some plates double-page}.  Text in parallel columns of Italian and French.  Compendium and parallel of classical structures of every land and in various styles, with the addition of another 300 and more factories and monuments of every type, both ancient and modern, and a general history of architecture by J.G. Durand.  Greatly expanded edition of Durand's comprehensive architectural survey, it was originally published in 1801 with only 90 plates.

From the library of the American architect, Douglas W. Orr.  (Orr has signed the front end page.)  Orr was notably president of the American Institute of Architects from 1947 to 1949 and a principal of the architectural firm, Orr & Booth. Orr bought these books in Rome in 1920.  He  designed a large number of public and commercial buildings, primarily in the New Haven, CT area.
