Durand. Greatly expanded edition of Durand's comprehensive architectural survey, it was originally published in 1801 with only 90 plates.
From the library of the American architect, Douglas W. Orr. (Orr has signed the front end page.) Orr was notably president of the American Institute of Architects from 1947 to 1949 and a principal of the architectural firm, Orr & Booth. Orr bought these books in Rome in 1920. He designed a large number of public and commercial buildings, primarily in the New Haven, CT area.
