Early Russian medicine. 3rd ed. 286 p. Worn, degraded cover.  Bound in calf over worn contemporary boards. Old ink notations on end sheets.  Lacking front end sheet.  Early signature of on title page and H.M. Lelbermann (rear end sheet).  Bottom corner stained. Stamp on title.  First published in 1778, 2nd in 1782.  This was the first Russian pharmacopoeia.  Russian and Latin. 

"Russia was among the first countries to compile pharmacopoeia. In 1778 the Russian Academy of Science at St. Petersburg had published a pharmacopoea rossica. Each entry is written chiefly in Latin but does give the Russian name of the botanical simple or preparation" - Heirs of Hippocrates 1590.
