An account of diplomacy by Wollheim da Fonseca.  Wollheim was a Jewish convert to Catholicism.  He led a remarkable life, first fighting in the Portuguese civil war, a PHD from Berlin in oriental languages, a diplomat, Bismarck era German journalist, Austrian diplomat, multilinguist (supposed to have learned 33 languages), playwright, Danish Minister, etc.
