Notes on the bookbinder:  This volume specially bound by the noted German-American bookbinder, Fritz Eberhardt.  Eberhardt worked with his wife Trudi and was based in  Pennsylvania.  He was celebrated for "his organic process displaying disciplined freedom, artistry, and tactile elements."  He created his own binding instruments and wrote a book about his style and method of bookbinding.  He also created woodblock prints and was an artist in other mediums.
