Folio, 41.5 x 29 cm.  Bound in full contemporary, red morocco.  Gilt ruled, gilt lettering and inlay.  Scuffing and wear to spine leather, especially at head and tail; but binding sound. Hardcover.  Gilt dentelle. All edges gilt. Marbled end pages. Internally generally a clean copy. Chromolithographic and black and white plates. Some foxing to a few of the plate versos. 

Most of the pieces are from private English collections including those of the Duke of Edinburgh, A.W. Franks, Major J. Walter and both of the authors. An important early catalog of European Japanese porcelain holdings.
