[18th century Pennsylvania Binding, Germantown Imprint]  Bound by Christopher Hoffmann in contemporary brown calf over wooden boards.  Blind ruled, coner fleurons, brass corner bosses.  Lacking clasps.  4to, 21 x 17 cm. All edges red. [viii]. 785, [3] pp.  "This work, which was first, posthumously, printed in 1672, reflects the religious views of the Schwenkfelders. In typography, paper, and binding, this reprint ‘at the expense of United Friends’ is a very creditable piece of bookmaking." - Evans 23975.  Christopher Hoffmann of Philadelphia County. He was a Schwenkfelder minister as well as a binder, and much of the work was for his congregation.  The tools he used to make blind-stamped decorations were unlike those of his German contemporaries; they may have been acquired second-hand from an Irish source.
