Michaud III, 674; Brunet I, 778.  Bentivoglio served as the papal nuncio under Pope Paul V to the court of the Habsburg Netherlands (1607-1615).  He was primarily concerned with the conclusion of the Eighty Years war and the fate of Catholics in the Dutch Republic.
