Lacking one part of one volume, as well as the final two volumes.  Quartos, 31 cm.  **Sold with all faults.** Bound in contemporary full calf.  Morocco spine labels.  Early Leicester Library stamps.  Engraved title page. Text printed in two columns.  Plates bound after text, many folding. Some of the plates of the first volume are defective, with tears, some with loss or foxing. Toning, foxing throughout. "Conducted by David Brewster, L.L.D. Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
