The second vol. contains Revello's detailed and illustrated study of the artists who traveled on the Malaspina expedition whose results were never published at the time. The numerous paintings and drawings survive in Europe and South America. This is the standard work on the subject. The Spanish ships were among the earliest visitors to the New South Wales settlement in 1793 and the expedition's artists, Brambila and Ravenet, produced several important images of the new colony.
