Also includes scientific observations on Halley's comet, the Telegraph, Gas Lighting, etc. Baruffi was a professor of mathematics and philosophy at the University of Turin. He directed the installation of the first public gas lighting in Turin. Baruffi was one of the preeminent proponents of scientific culture in the age of the Risorgimento.
