[A Hand Written and Drawn by Arthur Morje: A Collection of Aphorisms, Quotes and Thoughts to Consider]  Black notebook, with gold handwritten title on front cover. Good binding and cover.  Clean, unmarked pages.  45 hand written pages.  Many of the quotes have accompanying hand drawn doodles by Morje.  Morje's penmanship is excellent, a very legible text. 

  A collection of original quotes and aphorisms taken from literature, philosophy, contemporary events; as well as many original ones by the author, "A. M." Includes quotes from Voltaire, Thoreau, Hitler, Poe, Shakespeare, Belloc, William Penn, Montaigne, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Johnson, etc etc. "Dedicated to my second wife, whomever she is!"  Cataloger's note: I found this curious book in a box, without provenance.  A quick internet search for "Arthur Morje" (1928-2014) states that he may have had a farm in Nassau, NY (near Albany) and been a WWII veteran and worked at the USDA's Soil Conservation Service.  Arthur married Jean Townsend in 1953 (and never had a second wife).  They were married for 40 years, until her death, so Jean didn't mind Arthur's wit.  An interesting and unique book.
