[Unique Autograph Album]  Black pebbled morocco.  Hardcover.  Shelf wear, wear to spine, extremities. Clean, unmarked pages. Ownership of James Hall (Jamestown, NY), presented to him by Mrs. Street and Lizzie.  He is mentioned, though, in "Contributions of the Old Residents' Historical Association, Lowell, vol. 3, issued in 1887.  Most of the inscriptions that follow are dated Mary 6, 1861, and are divided between residents of Jamnestown and graduates of the class of 1861 and others connected to Lowell High School, which was first co-ed high school in the U.S.  From Jamestown, signers include several other Halls, Sophie J. Davis, Mary Marvin, Addie Butler, S.M. Lowry, Ellen Hall, William A. Keiler, William Proudfit, Chas. K. Keeler, Agnes A. Gillis, J. Ernest Shaw, and L.W. Davis.  In Lowell, signers include J.S. Russell (teacher of mathematics), F.W. Kittredge, C.C. Chase (school principal), Stephen H. King, Lissie M. Street, James O. Scripture (teacher), Owen Street, Mary F. Eastman (Head of female department of School), John J. Colton, Edward B. Holt, George B. Allen, George F. Woodward, Charles F. King, Warren Chase, Charles Lowell, Henry W. Wilson, Fredric A. Hinckley, Joseph A. Sladen.  A blotter, ruling sheet and receipt for a 1862 subscription to the "Independent" newspaper laid in.  Small celluloid photographic plate.
