Neapoli, ex typographia Simoniana, 1764
[History of Education: Humanism] Bound in later cloth. Seminary library stamps. xi, [1], 421 pages. Vives is considered the "father" of modern psychology. Vives was the son of Jewish cloth merchants from the Spanish Netherlands who converted to Catholicism. Interestingly, he father was burned to death for clandestinely practicing Judaism and his mother's remains were exhumed and burned after her death for similar charges.
