James F. Cooper
American Birth Control League, 1930
[Early American Pamphlet on contraception] Softcover. Good binding and cover. Clean, unmarked pages. 23 pages. 22 cm. The American Birth Control League was founded by Margaret Sanger in 1921. It was a precursor of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, founded in 1942. This pamphlet was written for physicians and medical service providers. It was published six years before the Comstock Act was reinterpreted to allow for the dissemination of birth control literature in New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. A dangerous pamphlet!
